Tom Ahlgrimm

Tom Ahlgrimm studied at Hamburg University of Technology from 2018 to 2024, completing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering in 2021 and a Master’s degree in Computer Science in 2024. During his studies, he worked as a student research assistant at Fraunhofer CML, focusing on the mathematical optimization of crew scheduling. His Master’s thesis was also completed in this field.

At the same time, Tom Ahlgrimm began working with AI methods for image data at an early stage. His related project work focused on dimensionality reduction for image data. Since April 2024, he has been working at Fraunhofer IGD on remote sensing, geospatial data analysis and geospatial foundation models. He is also pursuing his PhD at Fraunhofer IGD in the field of geospatial foundation models.
