Workshop: Open Platform Solutions for Active and Healthy Ageing
When thinking about later life, most people hope to be able to live independently for as long as possible, while remaining healthy and active. This is what the abbreviation AHA – Active and Healthy Ageing – stands for, a term that was already well known before the pandemic. In this context, the EU project PlatformUptake.eu is investigating the role and impact of open platforms. The project partners – including Fraunhofer IGD – are analyzing the development, introduction, and dissemination of open platforms across Europe in order to improve their acceptance as well as the development of their ecosystems and stakeholder networks.
As part of the project, several open stakeholder workshops are being held across Europe to discuss the topic and to gather experiences and opinions from actors within the EU. Care facilities, informal caregivers, policy makers, and end users of open service platforms are to be brought together with developers of AHA systems and technologies as well as researchers, in order to exchange knowledge and articulate their wishes and expectations for future systems. Fraunhofer IGD is organizing these workshops for Germany. All interested parties are warmly invited to attend the following:
