Go-Visual: Digital Trends in Corporate Health Management

On October 29, 2021, Fraunhofer IGD will host a specialist conference in Berlin on the topic “Digital Trends in Corporate Health Management” – with the option to participate digitally as well. The science-meets-business conference Go-Visual annually discusses opportunities and the latest developments in visual assistance technologies and focuses on a different thematic priority each year. This year, experts from industry and research are invited to exchange ideas on digital solutions for workplace health prevention and to take home new impulses for their own work.

The goal of corporate health management (CHM) is to promote employees’ health and reduce stress and strain. It is essential to identify sources of stress at an early stage and take countermeasures. Improved working conditions and quality of life in the workplace ultimately also enhance a company’s performance. The range of health-promoting CHM measures is broad, extending from offering free water or fruit to using digital avatars as mental trainers. This year, the science-meets-business workshop Go-Visual presents current trends and measures in digital corporate health management. The Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD invites HR managers, health managers, researchers, and all interested parties to exchange ideas and engage in discussion.

“It was important to us to reflect the full spectrum of health prevention and the digital possibilities,” explains Dr. Mario Aehnelt, Head of the Visual Assistance Technologies department at Fraunhofer IGD in Rostock and organizer of Go-Visual. Accordingly, the program includes topics such as physical workload and the possibilities offered by exoskeletons, as well as methods of stress monitoring and effective employee communication. The event will take place at the Fraunhofer Forum in Berlin and will also be available online.
