Darmstadt's Bundestag member Dr. Astrid Mannes is always happy to return to her constituency. She values the digital city with its many scientific institutions, especially as an economic hub and innovation factory. On December 5, 2018, she had the opportunity to gain insights into current projects at Fraunhofer IGD. Through demonstrations and presentations, Dr. Mannes received an in-depth overview of topics such as cybersecurity, construction visualization, 3D scanning, and biometrics, and engaged in in-depth discussions with various employees.
