Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGDOn Board the MS Wissenschaft: Artificial Intelligence in Dialogue
Our science coach Prof. Dr. Arjan Kuijper (external link) has been coordinating the dissemination of scientific research results at Fraunhofer IGD since 2008 and will speak on September 19, 2019, in Frankfurt on board the MS Wissenschaft – the floating science center. The MS Wissenschaft – an initiative of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research – is setting out this time on a journey into the world of artificial intelligence (AI).
In a panel discussion, representatives from science and industry are invited to discuss AI, its fields of application, as well as the ethical and legal dimensions of the associated risks. How does AI work? What risks and opportunities arise from its use? In addition to technical expertise, ethical considerations must not be neglected: Is there a societal consensus that defines where and under what conditions AI can and should be used? If so, what does it look like?
