📃 Title: From planning effort to planning advantage: how data-intensive planning can be measurably accelerated
💬 Abstract: Complex, data-intensive planning processes are often a key time and cost factor in infrastructure projects. The showcase presents a practical approach to accelerating data-intensive planning processes. Using the example of fiber-optic expansion, automated workflows for processing large volumes of image and 3D data, virtual site inspections, and AI-supported analyses are demonstrated. Planning steps are parallelized, lead times are significantly reduced, and decision-making bases are improved at an early stage. The approach is scalable and transferable to other complex planning and infrastructure projects.
