The next Computer Graphics Night will take place on 3 December 2026, starting at 4:30 p.m. – once again as a standalone event and firmly embedded in the vibrant research culture of Fraunhofer IGD and its academic community.
Look forward to exciting insights into current developments and trends in the field, with a particular focus on the next generation of researchers.
One of this year’s special programme highlights will once again be the Graduation Ceremony. As part of the recognition of completed doctorates, we will celebrate successful dissertations and the academic journeys of our doctoral graduates, highlighting the next generation of researchers.
This will be followed by awards recognising outstanding academic work. With the Best Thesis Award, we honour the best Bachelor’s and Master’s theses, selected together with our affiliated university chairs.
The Best Paper Award recognises outstanding scientific publications in the categories “Impact on Science,” “Impact on Business,” and “Impact on Research”, accompanied by attractive monetary and non-monetary prizes.
The Best Industrial Project Award also returns this year, recognising outstanding achievements in collaboration between research and industry.
A special highlight of the evening will be the traditional guest lecture “My Journey Afterwards”, presented this year by Dr Volker Kühn, BwFuhrparkService GmbH. He will share personal and practical insights into his career path and highlight the opportunities that can open up after a career in research.
We look forward to an inspiring evening filled with scientific insights, engaging discussions, and diverse encounters between research, industry, and society. Together, we will continue the success story of Computer Graphics Night.
