On April 28, we warmly invite you to our event “Clarity Before Technology: Why Your Organization Needs a Strategy – Not Just New Tools.”

GPEC is one of Europe’s leading trade fairs for internal security, law enforcement, and homeland security, and is exclusively aimed at representatives of public authorities. It will take place in Leipzig from May 20 to 22, 2026. Under the motto “Internal Security made by Fraunhofer – Forensics · Surveillance · Training,” Fraunhofer IGD, Fraunhofer SIT, Fraunhofer IOSB, and Fraunhofer IDMT will present themselves at a joint booth. Professional visitors will gain insights into innovative technologies for forensics, surveillance, and training, and can engage directly with our expert representatives to discuss specific application scenarios for police, law enforcement, and security authorities. The Darmstadt Sensor Technology Day brings together representatives from politics, science, and industry to strengthen the importance of the Darmstadt/Southern Hesse region as an innovation cluster for sensor technology. The first edition took place in August 2025 and was organized by HEAG – featuring keynotes, among others, by the Hessian Minister for Digitalization and Innovation, as well as panel discussions on the potential of a Hessian center for sensor technology.

Fraunhofer IGD will also be involved as a co-organizer of the Darmstadt Biometrics Week in 2026. From September 14 to 17, the events will provide leading experts from academia, industry, and government with the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the latest advances and innovations in biometrics through specialist conferences and discussion rounds.
