Additive Fertigung - Fokus Kunststoff

On Wednesday, February 12, 2020, Prof. Dr. André Stork will conclude the first day of the event “Additive Manufacturing – Focus on Plastics” with his lecture “Modeling Components with Graded Material Properties for Plastic 3D Printing.” His talk focuses on a technology that enables CAD models to be easily equipped with functionally graded materials (FGM) for 3D printing. The key challenges lie in generating continuous material gradients that follow the geometry easily and quickly, as can be produced with modern multi-material printers. The two-day conference is an industry meeting point featuring intensive exchange on innovations in materials and technologies. Discussions will cover best-practice solutions for consumer goods, automotive engineering, and medical applications, as well as new approaches to design and simulation.

About the Event

The 3rd conference ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING – Focus: Plastics centers on the production of innovative plastic components using generative manufacturing processes. Practical experience reports and open discussions await plastics experts. The event will take place from February 12–13, 2020, in Darmstadt.

The technical conference is primarily attended by companies from the automotive and automotive supplier industries, electrical engineering, electronics, plastics processing, the chemical industry, plastics manufacturing, mechanical engineering, precision engineering, optics, as well as research institutes. Participants typically work in research and development, manufacturing/production, design/product development, and technical sales departments.
