    Following three successful editions, we are pleased to announce the fourth edition of the MANER Conference – the Material Appearance Network for Education & Research. MANER serves as a forum for researchers in academia and industry who are interested in material appearance. It is typically co-located as a workshop or sub-conference with larger events, such as the Color & Imaging Conference (Scottsdale, AZ, 2022), the London Imaging Meeting (London, UK, 2023), and the Eurographics Symposium on Rendering and Material Appearance Modeling (London, UK, 2024).

From September 19 to 26, the events will provide leading experts from academia, industry, and government with the opportunity to exchange ideas and discuss the latest advances and innovations in biometrics through specialist conferences and discussion rounds.     AgroFarm Middle East 2025

    The AgroFarm Middle East trade fair showcases the livestock market in the Middle East and the United Arab Emirates’ (UAE) vision for sustainable agriculture. The event will be held alongside the established AgraME trade fair from 6–7 October 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC), highlighting innovation and progress in agriculture and related industries. In line with the UAE’s transformative initiatives, namely the National Agricultural Centre and the Plant-the-Emirates Initiative, the event will present advances in expanded product areas such as animal husbandry and livestock breeding, as well as innovations in crop production, horticulture, aquaculture, sustainable farming, and water management.

This trade fair is one of the world's largest dialogue platforms for industry-specific IT security solutions. It brings experts together on-site in Nuremberg and, with current topics, industry-specific forum contributions, and inspiring presentations, serves as a trend barometer for the entire IT security market. The accompanying conference program, Congress@it-sa, offers space for in-depth technical exchange on concrete questions and specific challenges. The Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD will once again participate as an exhibitor at it-sa Expo&Congress 2025, Europe’s leading trade fair for IT security, trends, and innovations in the IT security sector. From October 7 to 9, 2025, international IT security experts and decision-makers will gather at the Nuremberg Exhibition Center to exchange ideas on challenges and trends in cybersecurity.

    Workshop “Applied Quantum Computing“

    Fraunhofer IGD invites you to the second workshop of the "Center for Applied Quantum Computing" on October 29, 2025. In this workshop, researchers and industry professionals will present their activities in the field of applied quantum computing. This time, the focus will be on applications in chemistry and pharmaceuticals. The "Center for Applied Quantum Computing" (ZAQC) is a project funded by the state of Hesse, with the mission to: identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential applications of quantum computing, and thereby become the point of contact for businesses and industry in Hesse to collaborate on future projects. To promote broader knowledge of quantum computing, ZAQC organizes a series of workshops involving industry and other research institutions. The workshops aim to: foster regional and national networking, and discuss the current state of applied quantum computing. The event is aimed at: interested individuals who want to learn which industrial challenges quantum computing can effectively address, and experts who wish to engage in discussions on the topic. The workshop will take place on October 29 from 1:00 PM at Fraunhofer IGD. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
