Jan Niklas Kolf

Jan Niklas Kolf studied computer science at the Technische Universität Darmstadt and graduated in 2022 with a Master of Science in Autonomous Systems.

During his studies, he was employed as a research assistant in the Smart Living & Biometric Technologies department of the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer Graphics Research IGD in Darmstadt from March 2019 to July 2021. Since August 2021, he works as a research scientist in the department with a focus on deep learning, computer vision and biometrics.

Mr. Kolf is part of the Embedded Biometrics project at the National Research Centre for Applied Cyber Security ATHENE in Darmstadt, which has established its own research area for biometrics with the mission Next Generation Biometric Systems.
