Fadi Boutros

Fadi Boutros schloss seinen Masterstudiengang in »Distributed Software System« an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt im Jahr 2019 erfolgreich ab. Während seines Studiums arbeitete er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Fraunhofer-Institut für Graphische Datenverarbeitung IGD, wo er auch seine Masterarbeit zum Thema »Ethnicity bias problem in face recognition systems« schrieb. Er erhielt den CAST-Förderpreis 2019 und den Preis für die beste Abschlussarbeit beim 21. Darmstädter Computergrafik-Abend. Seit März 2019 ist er als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter am Competence Center »Smart Living & Biometric Technologies« am Fraunhofer IGD tätig. Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen in den Bereichen Maschinelles Lernen, Computer Vision und Biometrie.

Derzeit arbeitet er am Projekt »Embedded Biometrics«, das Teil der Mission »Next Generation Biometric Systems« am Nationalen Forschungszentrum für Angewandte Cybersecurity ATHENE in Darmstadt ist. Außerdem promoviert er an der Technischen Universität Darmstadt zum Thema »Embedded Biometrics« und hat bereits mehrere Publikationen in diesem Bereich veröffentlicht.

ATHENE: Mission »Next Generation Biometric Systems« – Projekt »Embedded Biometric«

Das Hauptziel des Projekts »Embedded Biometrics« ist es, eine breitere Implementierung biometrischer Technologien in den eingebetteten Domänen und den Use-cases zu ermöglichen, die durch die Rechenleistung sowie die Umgebungs- und Einsatzbeschränkungen limitiert sind.
