The focus will be on the latest trends and developments in visual computing as well as on our up-and-coming young scientists. Together with our associated university chairs, we will be honoring the most promising bachelor and master theses with the Best Thesis Award. The Best Paper Award will be presented for outstanding scientific publications – it is likewise endowed with non-cash and cash prizes. Research papers are nominated in three categories: Impact on Science, Impact on Business and Impact on Research.
In addition to the venue, there is another new feature at this year's CGN: Professor Dr. Justus Thies, newly appointed to TU Darmstadt, will deliver a keynote technical speech giving an insight into the areas that are of current interest to his 3D Graphics & Vision research group.
Finally, the guest lecture by Prof. Dr. Stefan Müller will reveal the personal and practical experiences that life after a career at Fraunhofer IGD can hold in store. As an alumnus, he will talk about his time at the institute and his “path after”.
Join us for a rewarding evening filled with scientific input as well as the opportunity to exchange ideas with key figures from research, industry and politics. Together, we will revive the Computer Graphics Night as a face-to-face occasion. We look forward to receiving your registration.
