The ResourceApp project aims to detect and to open up the resource efficiency potential at the dismantling of infrastructure and products. For this the raw material inventory of buildings is detected object-specific as well as the risk for demolition companies and property owners is minimalized.
The part of construction and demolition waste amounts to more than 50% of annually accruing waste in Germany. Nevertheless the targeted recycling of resources is in the beginning. In particular the obtaining resources are only estimated and there are no reliable data on the resource potential of building stock.
A solution for this problem is now developed within the r³-projects “ResourceApp”. With the help of a smartphone application direct statements can be delivered during a building inspection and the therein contained raw materials. Besides a model for the planning should be developed to help increasing the resource efficiency at the recycling of raw materials.
The task of Fraunhofer IGD consists in the 3D reconstruction, the determined sensory data and the automated identification of relevant objects, which are necessary for the resource estimate. For this according construction standards are made use by which the quantity and type of built-in materials are determined very precisely.
