Social Augmented Reality (Intelligent Visualisation)

Technologies of augmented reality can be applied during assembly as well as for checking intermediate and final results. They expand the reality of a work piece by intuitive 3D animations and thus visualise complex processes. In addition to step-by-step instructions the staff can also receive and exchange information about the further working directly at the work piece. Via mobile devices additional details on components, work steps and checklists appear directly at the physical object.

A cooperative annotation of components allows the joint discussion at problematic sections. This helps the staff to better understand the processes involved. Furthermore, the solution can be used to easily generate AR applications with an intuitive editor (reference project: SAL).
