Objective

To find customized, yet optimal detection thresholds for use in the IT Service Hotline, the influence of detection thresholds and other factors, such as the phone type and the environmental conditions, on the false acceptance and false rejection rate in the VoiceTrust voice verification system is examined.

In addition to an appropriate default setting appropriate threshold values ​​are to be determined:

  • in the event that the caller phone number as an authentication factor as well as the recording conditions (mobile, office or home office phone) are taken into account, and
  • in the event that a four-digit PIN is added as an additional authentication factor. The aim is to lower the false rejection rate, while maintaining the current level of security.
