The goal of this project is to develop a dispatcher to support operations, maintenance and, in particular, troubleshooting for line-based production systems in an industry 4.0 environment.
DISPATCHER 4.0 integrates information from various production management systems (production planning and control, specifically machine and operating data acquisition) and makes this information interactively available on various stationary and mobile output devices depending on the situation. This is expected to result in a significant increase in the efficiency of production systems, especially through improved management and on-site support, from maintenance and troubleshooting to predictive maintenance.
Production workers will receive their assignments on their mobile devices along with work instructions supplied by the dispatcher. The use of AR and 3D displays, even less-trained workers will be able to perform maintenance tasks to the quality required. Monitoring of what instructions have been completed will always keep the dispatcher system up to date on the current state of completion. To a large extent, the system will allow collaborative work and company-specific knowledge to be passed on in the right context.
