Project "DiPa"
The project deals with the use of digitalization to assess and to identify general and individual problem constellations in palliative care, in order to be able to derive an optimization of work processes and structuring. The personal stress level is often misjudged, so that in addition to the physical strain, psychological symptoms such as exhaustion or even a burn-out syndrome or a depressive episode can occur. The project pursues the specific goals of enabling early detection of stress through sensory recording and intelligent evaluation of biometric parameters and vital data, and - through the use of targeted measures - to significantly improve the situation of staff in palliative medicine.
The palliative branch is the medical field that specializes in the care of seriously ill patients with a confined life expectancy and their relatives. The interdisciplinary expert staff is exposed to physical, psychological, ethical, and organizational strains, which are to be measured and reduced within this project in order to enhance the staff’s working conditions and health and, as a result, patient care.
