Here, more than 100 full-time staff members work on research assignments and are aided in their work by about 250 research assistants.   • The Fraunhofer family welcomed a new member in November 2008. The project office of Fraunhofer IGD founded at the Technical University of Graz in 2007 has now been transferred to the Ā»Visual ComputingĀ« business unit of Fraunhofer Austria Research GmbH. The Fraunhofer Graz location is therefore now a fellow subsidiary of Fraunhofer IGD. In the fields of graphic data processing, computer vision and augmented reality, researchers are developing targeted solutions and new products to make working with the computer easier for users.

  • Since May 2010, the Fraunhofer Project Centre for IDM@NTU (Fraunhofer IDM@NTU) has formed the new Fraunhofer Research Center in Singapore. Back in 1998, Fraunhofer IGD, together with the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), founded the Centre for Advanced Media Technology (CAMTech) at the university's campus in Singapore. The project center is a fellow subsidiary of Fraunhofer IGD. With this center, both founding organizations have continued the successful tradition of collaboration.
