The Fraunhofer Project Centre for Interactive Digital Media at Nanyang Technological University Singapore (Fraunhofer IDM@NTU) was set up mid of 2010 by NTU and Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. Facilitated by the Media Development Authority and funded by the National Research Foundation, the centre forms a part of the International Research Centres that Singapore is establishing.
Job Description
The tasks of the position(s) are related to research projects which are ongoing or currently in preparation. Fraunhofer IDM@NTU develops technologies and applications based on visual computing in close collaboration with industry and academia. Visual computing describes image and model based information technology comprising the interrelated fields computer graphics, computer vision, virtual and augmented reality. Two main research themes of the centre are real-time rendering and visual analytics integrating intelligent data analysis with novel visualisation algorithms.
Requirements
- University degree at bachelor/master level in computer science or related fields
- Knowledge in and passion for real-time computer graphics
- Experience developing OpenGL applications, including programmable shading
- Experience with rendering engines & scene graphs (e.g., OpenSG) is a plus
- Strong programming skills in C/C++
- Ability to work independently as a researcher and effectively in a team
- Good written and oral communication skills in English
