Since May 2010, the Fraunhofer Project Centre for IDM@NTU (Fraunhofer IDM@NTU) has formed the new Fraunhofer Research Center in Singapore. Back in 1998, Fraunhofer IGD, together with the Nanyang Technological University (NTU), founded the Centre for Advanced Media Technology (CAMTech) at the university's campus in Singapore. The project center is a fellow subsidiary of Fraunhofer IGD. With this center, both founding organizations have continued the successful tradition of collaboration. There is currently a lively exchange of ideas and experience in the fields of Visual Computing and media technology. The research team is focusing on interactive digital media (IDM), including, for example, the development of software solutions for modern mobile phones that can access the Internet. The research spectrum is rounded off by the other major areas in Visual Computing.
