The Fraunhofer-Institut für Graphische Datenverarbeitung is certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2008 by DQS GmbH, Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen.

Research in the Fraunhofer IGD is always oriented along the goals of the institute, the guidelines of Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft, as well as internal quality rules which are to guarantee a constant quality of our work, even growing whenever possible. Since 2005, all these guideline have been harmonized and integrated in the "Qualitätsmanagement- Handbuch IGD".

We have established and are constantly improving a comprehensive quality management for our institute. What we have achieved is a harmonization and in the long run simplification of internal processes accompanied by the assurance and enhancement of the quality of our research and development results. At the same time we document and visualize our quality management efforts to the public.

In November 2009, in the audit by DQS GmbH, Deutsche Gesellschaft zur Zertifizierung von Managementsystemen, the certificate could be changed over to DIN ISO 9001:2008. Like in the last 4 years, It rates the "Implementation and maintenance of a quality managment system for the execution of application oriented research and develpment projects and customer specific adaptations" at the Fraunhofer IGD.

Fraunhofer IGD in Darmstadt as well as its branch in Rostock are registered with DQS GmbH as enterprises certified according to DIN ISO 9001:2008.
