Vita
Arjan Kuijper received a MSc in 1995 from the Department
of Applied Mathematics, University of Twente, the
Netherlands and a PhD in 2002 from the Department of
Computer Science and Mathematics, Utrecht University, the
Netherlands.
After a Post-doc period at the same university
he was assistant research professor at the IT University of
Copenhagen in Denmark from 2003 to 2005. In 2005 he
started as senior researcher at the Johann Radon Institute for
Computational and Applied Mathematics (RICAM), Linz,
Austria.
Since 2008 he is research coach, managing scientific
dissemination, at the Fraunhofer Institute for Computer
Graphics Research (IGD) in Darmstadt. In addition to
that, he is lecturer at the TU Darmstadt. In 2009 he finished
his habilitation at the Technical University of Graz, Austria,
and since then he is also “Privat Dozent” at the Institute
for Computer Graphics and Vision (ICG) at TU Graz, a
status that has been transferred to the TU Darmtadt in 2010.
He is author of over 100 peer-reviewed publications, and serves
as reviewer for many journals and conferences, and as program
committee member and organizer of conferences. His
research interests cover all aspects of mathematics-based
methods for computer vision, graphics, interaction, and visualization.
